Badgerlink, a resource for Wisconsin residents--Something for everyone!

The School District of Superior will host a “Badgerlink and Library Resources” FREE workshop on Tuesday, November 15th, 2011 from 5-6:30 at Northern Lights Elementary in the computer lab. This FREE hands-on workshop will allow all community members, parents and teachers a chance to learn about the Badgerlink Resource database, which is touted as “Wisconsin’s Connection to the World of Information”, and is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction – Division for Libraries, Technology and Community Learning.

Attendees will have a brief introduction and then time to  explore the Badgerlink offerings such as the : Auto Repair Reference Center, Business Source Premier, Consumer Health Complete, multilingual resources,  History and Literary reference centers, and online encyclopedia and search engines. If workshop-goers have an interest in geneology, online magazines, songs, government documents, novels, or Wisconsin heritage, this one-stop website will meet their needs! For parents or teachers, there are educational resources to assist children in researching topics or acquiring skills.

Badgerlink and the School District of Superior Library Resources will offer this workshop free of charge to the community! Walk-ins welcome! Please join Melanie Swanson, Northern Lights Elementary Library Media Specialist, and Terri Harings, Web Coach for an entertaining tour of Badgerlink, which has something for everyone!
