Coming June 13th! Job Center Career Workshop-“Job Searching and Online Applications”

The Job Center of Wisconsin – Superior, representing the counties of Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer, Price, Rusk, and Taylor and the School District of Superior, are teaming up to present a Career Workshop entitled “Job Searching & Online Applications“. This FREE hands-on, interactive event will be held on Monday, June 13th, 2011 from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. at the Superior Middle School Library Computer Lab. Career Counselor Amy Myska of Wisconsin Job Service will present the average job seeker with multiple online tools and resources to use broadband to find a job or change to a career that is exciting and fulfilling. Refreshments will be served.
This free workshop is designed to give each job-seeking participant the opportunity to:
- use broadband to practice tools and techniques
- fill out job applications within online systems
- take interest and skill assessments on the internet
- prepare for interviews and
- market themselves in an online format to an ever-increasing employer web presence
Information will be provided in additional areas as well, including: workplace skills and/or skill building through occupational practice tests, job search engines, and uses of social media to research potential employers.
